Welcome to the Unity House Page.

The resettlement programme operates from three locations at present, with a fourth premises coming on line in early 2012.

Unity House is in the Lansdowne area of Bournemouth. It is 2 minutes from the train and coach stations, the college and employment support services. It is about 5 minutes from the beach, Allington House and Boscombe, and 10 minutes from Bournemouth town centre and Cornerways. This is a very central location, convenient for all local services.

This premises is detached, with each client having their own flatlet, consisting of a bedsitting room, with kitchen area and private bathroom. There are 11 flatlets in total here. There is a small outside space for a barbecue, storing bicycles and sitting out on a warm evening for a coffee and chat with friends.

Unity House, and the new unit opening in 2012 are open for any clients who have completed treatment but need support whilst getting their lives in the community organised. It is aims to provide the bridge between rehabilitation and full independence, including securing a long term home and employment options.

There are two premises in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth - Bryant House and Wolverton Road - both within two minutes walk from Boscombe Town centre, less than 10 minutes walk from the beach, 10 minutes walk from the coach and train stations, and the college and about 15 minutes walk from Bournemouth town centre and Allington House and Cornerways. These premises are used for clients on the ‘Supporting People’ programme who have been assessed as having a local connection to the area and provide a service to help clients prepare for full reintegration into society. Bryant House is a detached building built in the 1880’s. It houses 8 people, each person with their own room with a sink and furniture. There are two shared bathrooms with toilets and a further toilet, a laundry room, dining room with breakfast bar, kitchen and lounge. There is also an office on the ground floor. At the back there is a large garden with barbecue facilities, fruit trees, flowers and a vegetable patch at the back of the garden.

Wolverton Road is also a detached building with 6 single rooms. It has a shower room and two bathrooms with toilets. It has a kitchen, laundry facilities, a dining room and lounge. It has a large garden at the back, which is accessed through the conservatory.
