Resettlement

There are 18 units of accommodation in the re-settlement project, eight of them are in Bryant House, which is where most people start as the highest level of support is provided from here. Six are in Wolverton Road, where the obvious support is less, however there are still weekly house meetings, and individual meetings, the remaining four units are in flatlets in the area of Bryant House. These are places where a client is living independently, in the community, but is still close to Bryant House for support and weekly meetings are still part of the process. The landlord of these flats works with us and is supportive of clients. This is the final stage before clients have a flat of their own, with all the responsibility that entails.

All the premises are close to Boscombe town centre which has many shops and meetings, and the beach is only about 10 minutes away on foot.

In Bryant House and Wolverton Road each client has their own room, and this room is a clients' private accommodation. Clients have keys to their own room as well as the front door. Clients can have their own TV, DVD and music equipment in their own rooms, however it is their responsibility to ensure the room is locked when they are out. There are communal facilities available for everyone's use, these include a lounge with TV and cable, a dining room, kitchen, garden and two bathrooms in each property. In Bryant House there is also the Re-settlement office. Clients are responsible for their own food and meal times, although in both houses we do provide breakfast. Obviously in the flatlets, a client has their own keys and is responsible for all their own food.
